MCM New Brand Release Announcement

We are excited to announce that MCM will be available soon for all subscribers of our luxury authentication service. MCM is the latest release of Entrupy supported brands, joining Valentino and Givenchy as the third newly supported brand in 2022. The brand will go live in our Entrupy Plus app on March 1st and all materials manufactured by the brand will be supported.

MCM premiered on the disco scene in Munich 45 years ago with its trademark insignia, an MCM logo with laurel leaves tied with a ribbon at the center. An instant celebrity following was garnered, it was a favorite of Diana Ross, and helped boost the brand to fame growing to more than 250 stores worldwide. Later in the decade the brand was adopted by hip-hop culture subcultures and was the most requested design from Dapper Dan, a fashion designer from Harlem known for appropriating luxury logos. Throughout the years the brand has collaborated with Joy Gryson, the former accessories design director at Marc Jacobs, German artist Tobias Rehberger, British fashion designer Christopher Raeburn, Puma, and Bape. Initially MCM stood for the inialitism of its founder Michael Cromer Munich but today stands for Modern Creation Munchen and is owned by Sungjoo Group, a South Korean retail business.
