These technologies ensure the solution is completely objective. It never gets tired, it doesn’t have opinions, there are no such things as “bad days,” and it will never let personal feelings interfere with its decisions. And with every item scanned, Entrupy’s database grows and the algorithms get smarter, enabling ever-increasing accuracy.
Since the earliest days of Entrupy, we have partnered with most trustworthy and prominent businesses in retail and resale to source data from authentic items. We incorporated information from all over the world to ensure we had a rich, diverse and complete picture of products across multiple categories, vintages, styles and brands. These enabled us to collect data points from products produced across the decades, which is how we can authenticate products created well before our time.
Through the maintenance of these partnerships and the additional data collected during our day to day authentication operations, we are able to keep up with the newest releases from brands.
Collection of data from counterfeit items is a bit more covert, and there’s much we can’t disclose. We can say that our data teams scour the internet to ensure we have the highest quality data on fakes. We also accept donated counterfeit goods from our partners, which helps us strengthen our algorithms while also getting the fakes out of circulation.
We currently support both new and past styles from the top 22 luxury brands. They are Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Coach, Chanel, Chloe, Celine, Dior, Fendi, Givenchy, Goyard, Gucci, Hermes, Loewe, Louis Vuitton, MCM, Prada, Saint Laurent, Valentino, Christian Louboutin, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Dolce & Gabbana.
Normal photographs simply do not have the level of microscopic detail required for Entrupy authentication. To accurately verify an item, it must be scanned with our proprietary device.

Entrupy offers convenient monthly or yearly subscription plans, all based on volume with no contracts or commitments. Subscription plans can be found here and for larger volume customers, please contact us so we can discuss your authentication needs and provide a personalized quote.
When you sign up with Entrupy there is a one-time set up fee of $499 per device, which includes training with one of our support team members as well as device replacement if the device malfunctions under normal use. Shipping fees are waived to the US & Canada only, international shipping is billed to your account at commencement.
Entrupy offers monthly and annual subscriptions. Additionally, you are able to select the number of authentications you expect to perform.
Whether you select a monthly subscription or an annual one, the commencement will be 7 days after receipt of the device OR on first use, whichever comes first. Subsequent billing will be based on this date.
If you exceed the allotment of authentications during your billing cycle, the overage will be included in the following billing cycle. The rate for each additional authentication is based on each plan and can be seen here.
All 22 of Entrupy’s supported brands are included in each subscription with the exception of Hermès Premium items, which are billed separately at a rate of $119 per item. If you are already an Entrupy customer but don’t see Hermès on the brand selection screen in your app, please contact Entrupy Customer Support.
Annual subscription plans with upfront payment for the year offer two main benefits. First, you have greater flexibility with how you use your allotment of authentications, as you immediately have access to annual total. Secondly, there is a 10% discount for the annual subscription.
For example, an annual subscription at the Petit rate will be $1,290.00. You immediately have access to all 60 submissions for the year. These can be completed at your own pace. Perhaps you spread them evenly, doing 5 authentications each month. Or perhaps you use the entire allotment in a single month.
If paying monthly, you would be charged $119 each month for the Petit plan, and at that level, you could perform 5 authentications per month. You cannot “roll over” unused authentications from month to month, and each authentication over the allotment will be
billed at a rate of $24 the next billing cycle.
We accept credit and debit cards as forms of payment via our payment processing service, Stripe.
No. Each verified item will receive a Certificate of Authenticity at no additional charge.
Entrupy does not classify items as counterfeit. Instead, they are either Authentic or Unidentified. Items receiving an Unidentified still count toward your allotment.
On rare occasions, the results may come back as “Not Supported” or “Invalid.” In these instances, the authentications will not count toward your total.

Entrupy Luxury Authentication is over 99 percent accurate, and we stand by our results. Still, to protect our customers and enable trust in transactions, we back every Entrupy Certificate with a financial guarantee. For most items, the process of scanning and submitting an item for authentication using the Entrupy App will take between three and five minutes. Once the item has been submitted, the results are returned within minutes. In some instances, it can take up to an hour, and Hermès Premium items (listed here) can take up to 24 hours.
You can use the device and begin the process at any time. Some brands and materials are eligible for “Instant” authentication, meaning the results will be issued within 60 seconds. For authentications submitted outside of support hours that require additional processing, results will be returned by 11:00 AM (US Eastern Time) the following business day.
Please note that, for the purpose of Financial Guarantee, Entrupy reserves a window of 15 minutes during Entrupy business hours to invalidate authentication results and certificates. For authentications performed outside of business hours,
this 15-minute window will begin immediately the next business day.
In order to submit an item for authentication you need the following.
– A registered account with a subscription to one of our monthly or annual plans
– Our integrated hardware device
– The Entrupy app (comes preloaded on our device)
– A strong WiFi connection
– Access to a power source
Entrupy has designed a device specifically for the luxury authentication service. Authentications cannot be performed without this patented, proprietary hardware.
Please note that, while you are an Entrupy customer, the Entrupy device is on lease to you. Should you cancel your account, we would require you to send the device back to us.

Entrupy comes with no contracts or commitments, and you can upgrade your plan as your business grows. You can change your plan by informing us at least 7 days prior to the subscription renewal date, however there is no refund for any unused submissions.
Some exceptions apply, and customer plan change policies can be found in our Terms of Service.

Every item, even those that are mass produced, has unique characteristics that make it different from other objects. For example, two iPhones that are the same model and are manufactured in the same factory on the same day, will still have minute differences in characteristics like the physical textures. Entrupy Fingerprinting leverages microscopy and artificial intelligence to capture and record these differences, enabling that item to be re-identified at any point in its lifecycle.
Fingerprinting as a technology is applicable to any physical product without requiring physical modification of the product. Categories for which Entrupy has developed significant support include designer bags & accessories, watches, beauty products, wine & spirits, electronics and medical equipment.
Entrupy Fingerprinting is an unobtrusive system of product authentication that has two significant advantages over traditional identity solutions. First, unlike barcodes, radio frequency identification (RFID) tags, holograms and QR codes that require something to be attached to or printed on the physicalitem, Fingerprinting is completely non-intrusive. The identity is recorded using just a single microscopic image. This makes the solution much faster and easier to implement at any point in the supply chain while enabling products to keep their integrity.
Second, Fingerprinting is significantly more secure than traditional solutions, which generally lack security and are therefore more prone to manipulation. For example, there have been a number of instances where an existing QR code was replaced with a lookalike. When the QR code was scanned, users would be unknowingly redirected to malicious content or trojan scripts, revealing their valuable personal information to bad actors. This vulnerability to corruption creates enormous risks around data privacy.

Fingerprinting is easily incorporated in your existing workflow:
● Pre-sale product registration: Before or during the sale, simply scan the item using Entrupy’s device. In approximately 3 to 5 seconds, that item is forever recorded in Entrupy’s cloud database.
● Post-sale return verification: If the customer attempts to return a product, simply re-scan the item. Entrupy’s algorithms compare the item you have in hand against the registered Fingerprint image. If the product is the same, the Fingerprint will match. If it’s not the same item, then it won’t.

To prevent return fraud, we recommend fingerprinting high-value items at the point of sale or, in the case of online sales, prior to distribution. If at any point in the future, the customer returns the product, another scan is taken and the identity of the product is or isn’t confirmed as the same that was sold.
If the fingerprint does not match the item being returned, the transaction should not be allowed. For more information, refer to the Return Fraud Solution page.
Because Fingerprinting was created to support a wide variety of objects, we generally recommend prospective customers contact us to discuss your needs and we will verify if Fingerprinting will be an effective solution for you. We often start with a Proof of Concept (POC) partnership, during which we work with you to fine tune and test the system to verify the solution’s accuracy and scalability.
To protect the supply chain at any point – from manufacturing to sale and beyond, we recommended the Fingerprint be captured at the point of origin. For example, the iPhones we mentioned above would be fingerprinted on the factory floor, just prior to the final packaging of the products. The same would be true for any component of the iPhone, such as the battery, as well. Each item receives a unique 7-digit number, which is registered in a highly-secure, unalterable database.
At any point thereafter, even as the product gets shipped to warehouses and retailers, the item’s identity can be verified by conducting a new scan, which is compared to the original using patented machine-learning algorithms.
