As announced on May 18, 2026, Entrupy launched the new authentication experience, where you can authenticate bags and leather goods directly from your own iPhone or Android. You will no longer need an Entrupy lens device to authenticate handbags once you migrate to the new experience.
In this article, we will walk you through the transition of the devices that are loaned to you by Entrupy, and the action you need to take. Please read carefully and indicate your intent to purchase or return your device by June 30, 2026.
Your Options
Keep Your Current iPhone
You can choose to keep and purchase your current Entrupy-issued iPhone(s) for $100 per device.
Your iPhone will be unlocked, and the ownership of the iPhone will be transferred to you.
You can keep the Entrupy lens device, or take it to a local electronics retailer for recycling.
Return Your Device
If you choose not to purchase your device(s), you may return your Entrupy-issued iPhones or iPods.
Entrupy will provide further instructions, along with the prepaid return label to return the devices.
Note: iPod touch 6 and 7 devices will no longer be compatible with our new app. Please use your own iPhone or Android device.
If Entrupy does not receive a completed Device Return Form or Device Purchase Form by June 30th, Customer will be deemed to have elected to purchase all Hardware currently in Customer’s possession.
* If you choose to use your personal iPhone or Android to authenticate, you can download the Entrupy app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and log in using the same credentials. Entrupy currently supports the following minimum operating systems: iOS 15.8 or later & Android 10.0 or later. Please see our Minimum Hardware Requirements for more information.
Hardware Return and Purchase Guidance
Customers who elect to purchase the iPhone may retain all devices and accessories currently in their possession, including any Entrupy-issued lens attachments. You will be charged for $100 USD per iPhone you elect to purchase.
* Please note: To keep the transition process simple, device purchases will apply to your full outstanding iPhone SE count across the account. Partial purchases will not be supported.
Customers who elect to return devices should return any Entrupy-issued iPhone SE or iPod Touch devices currently in their possession within 10 days from receiving the return label. Entrupy-issued lens attachments, chargers, cables, and other accessories do not need to be returned. Pre-paid return label and further instructions on how to return your device will be provided separately.
Entrupy encourages customers to recycle any unused equipment through an appropriate local electronics recycling program.

Current customers should refer to the transition email sent by Entrupy for their specific device counts, transition options, and next steps. From there, you’ll be able to choose whether to purchase your current devices or begin a return request.

Entrupy Device Transition Program Terms
Pursuant to Entrupy’s updated Terms of Service, Entrupy will no longer be offering hardware as a service, including the lease of any physical devices as well as any related peripherals (e.g., chargers) (“Hardware”) in connection with its authentication services. The authentication services previously provided to you (“Customer”) through Entrupy-supplied Hardware are now capable of being hosted on your own devices.
As part of this transition, Entrupy is offering each Customer two options with respect to each item of Hardware currently in your possession: (a) purchase the Hardware from Entrupy at one hundred ($100) U.S. dollars per device; or (b) return the Hardware to Entrupy.
Please indicate your election for each item of Hardware by completing either the Device Return Form or Device Purchase Form no later than June 30, 2026 (the “Election Deadline”). If Entrupy does not receive a completed Device Return Form or Device Purchase Form by the Election Deadline, Customer will be deemed to have elected to purchase all Hardware currently in Customer’s possession that remains subject to this transition process, and Entrupy may assess and invoice Customer a purchase fee of one hundred ($100) U.S. dollars per item of Hardware without further notice.
