Entrupy aims to help our customers ensure that the items offered on their platforms are truly authentic. We stand behind the authenticity of any item we authenticate in which an Entrupy Certificate (“Certificate”) has been issued (each a “Certified Item”) and provide our customers with a one-year financial guarantee (the “Guarantee”) for every Certified Item. If a licensee with a valid subscription to use the Entrupy System (hereinafter, “you”) believes that an Entrupy-verified item supported by a Certificate is not authentic, you may open a dispute request in accordance with the policy outlined herein. In rare circumstances, Entrupy may change the authentication result for an item. Entrupy reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to revoke, or otherwise invalidate, an authentication or Certificate at any time and without prior notice in circumstances including, but not limited to: (a) suspected, alleged, or confirmed fraud, abuse, or misuse of the Entrupy System, services, platform, or any Certificate; (b) any violation of Entrupy’s Terms of Service, Entrupy’s policies, guidelines, or acceptable use requirements, or any applicable law or regulation; (c) suspicious, irregular, or atypical transaction, submission, or usage patterns, including but not limited to unusual volume, frequency, geography, Item characteristics, or account behavior; (d) any misrepresentation, inaccuracy, or omission in information provided to Entrupy; (e) reverse engineering, tampering with, circumventing, or attempting to manipulate the Entrupy authentication process, technology, or results; or (f) any other act, omission, or conduct that Entrupy determines, in its sole discretion, may compromise, undermine, or impair the accuracy, reliability, security, or integrity of the Entrupy authentication process or the trust and reputation of the System. The Guarantee will not apply if Entrupy revokes or invalidates an authentication or Certificate for such reasons.
While you may use the Guarantee in connection with your customers, please note the Guarantee is only offered directly to you, and all claims related to the Guarantee must be made by you and not your customers. If an individual in possession of a Certified Item contacts Entrupy with questions or concerns about such item, we will refer them to you at the contact information provided on the Order Form.
To initiate the dispute process, please submit the Financial Guarantee Application Form, which can be found at Financial Guarantee Application Form , with all required information and documents (hereinafter, the “Submission”).
Once Entrupy receives your Submission, we will respond within ten (10) business days to confirm whether your claim has been provisionally accepted, or if further information is required. If additional information, documentation, or substantiation is required by Entrupy, you agree to promptly cooperate with Entrupy and provide such information, documentation, or substantiation.
Entrupy, at its sole discretion, may request documentation from you to substantiate proof of procurement and/or the price that you paid for the item. In such instances, a proof of purchase must demonstrate clearly the amount claimed, identify the item being disputed as being the item related to the payment, and show that the party making the payment is the Certificate Holder. This may be shown through a combination of documents that may include, for example, a purchase receipt, a loan agreement, and/or a consignment contract. In regard to consignment or marketplace sales, Entrupy, at its sole discretion, may request documentation from you to substantiate proof of consignment, customer sale, and payout to your consignor. You must have rights over the item such that, if the consignor still has claim to the item, it cannot be disputed.
If the Certified Item is not already in your possession, it is your responsibility to acquire it from your customer at either you or your customer’s expense. By submitting an item through the dispute process, you are representing and warranting that you have all necessary authority to possess the item.
While you may use the Guarantee in connection with your customers, please note the Guarantee is only offered directly to you, and all claims related to the Guarantee must be made by you and not your customers. If an individual in possession of a Certified Item contacts Entrupy with questions or concerns about such item, we will refer them to you at the contact information provided on the Order Form.
Once your Submission has been provisionally accepted, Entrupy will direct you to provide photographs of the Certified Item and/or send the physical Certified Item to Entrupy for further inspection. Entrupy has the sole discretion to determine whether photographic submission, physical delivery, or both are required. In the event that Entrupy requires photographs of specific components of the Certified Item, Entrupy will send you instructions. In the event that Entrupy requires shipment of the physical Certified Item, Entrupy will provide the applicable shipping label. For international customers, shipping costs to send the item to Entrupy, as agreed upon in advance, are covered by Entrupy. In any event, you shall promptly provide any requested photographs, information, or physical item(s) in connection with such review.
Once Entrupy receives the requested information and at Entrupy’s sole discretion, Entrupy’s team will re-authenticate the item and/or Entrupy will have the item authenticated by one or more independent experts who will issue an opinion as to the authenticity of the Certified Item (hereinafter, the “Independent Results”) depending on the claim value of the item being disputed, for example.
Entrupy’s re-authentication and the Independent Results (if performed) will either (i) confirm the Certified Item is authentic; or (ii) determine the Certified Item is not authentic (or that the authenticity of the item is inconclusive, in which event the Certified Item will be deemed not authentic for purposes of this Guarantee).
If Entrupy’s re-authentication and the Independent Results (if performed) determine that the Certified Item is not authentic, you will receive compensation in accordance with the values set forth in Table 1 below (hereinafter, the “Guarantee Payment”), and title to and possession of the item shall remain with or be transferred to Entrupy, as applicable. If Entrupy did not require the item to be mailed to Entrupy during the dispute process, you shall, upon Entrupy’s instruction, send the item to Entrupy using a shipping label provided by Entrupy. In such event, the Guarantee Payment will not be made until Entrupy has received the item. The Guarantee Payment will be made via wire transfer. You will be asked to provide Entrupy with necessary banking information for satisfaction of the wire transfer.

*Entrupy will compare the price that you procured the item against the prevailing market rate for items of similar style, age, and condition, by referencing publicly available sources. If, for example, the documented price is significantly higher than the prevailing market rate, Entrupy reserves the right to set a lower Financial Guarantee Payment based on the prevailing market value. Additionally, 100% of the amount paid to have the Certified Item shipped to you is covered.
Conversely, if Entrupy’s re-authentication and the Independent Results (if performed) confirm that the Certified Item is authentic, you will be invoiced a dispute fee on your next monthly invoice in accordance with the fees set forth in Table 2 below (hereinafter, the “Dispute Fees”) and Entrupy will ship the item back to you, if applicable. In such instances, you will also be responsible for all inbound and return shipping costs, as well as any applicable duties, taxes, customs fees, or related charges associated with shipment and return of the item.

The Guarantee does not apply to any items where the date of your Submission is received by Entrupy one or more years after the date the Certificate was first issued by Entrupy. You must have ownership of the Certified Item at the time of the Submission to be eligible for the Guarantee. All prior Entrupy Certificates are invalidated upon the creation of a new Certificate for the same item. The Guarantee is non-transferable to any other person, and you may not license, sublicense, or assign any of your rights to the Guarantee to any other person. You understand and agree that the Guarantee Payment is your sole, exclusive, complete and only remedy or compensation under the Agreement, including this policy, when a Certified Item is not authentic. You understand that no other fees, charges, or costs associated with any item submitted are covered. Any costs incurred by you, including other shipping and third-party authentication services, are expressly not covered by the Guarantee. For transactions in foreign currency (non-USD), the Guarantee Payment will be paid in local currency when possible or at the exchange rate at time of payment.

Items submitted to Entrupy must be complete (e.g., all components, labels, original packaging must be provided, and for footwear products, both sneakers must be provided to Entrupy and must be identical to the pair of sneakers that were originally authenticated by Entrupy). You agree and acknowledge that all findings from the Entrupy Dispute process, including Entrupy’s re-authentication and the Independent Results, are final.
